Innovation in Construction Materials-A Review

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the many kinds of cutting-edge building materials that are now 
accessible. Growth in the discovery and production of innovative construction materials has been found to be 
greatly aided by advancements in nanotechnology, the use of mineral admixtures, glass and plastic, biological 
materials, wood, and other construction materials. The use of some innovative construction materials satisfies 
the following criteria: sustainability, durability, reliability, safety, cost reduction, improving quality, improved 
mechanical and physical characteristics, flexibility in extreme conditions and locations, ease of assembly, and 
environmental friendliness. In the construction business, the materials needed to complete a project accounted 
for around 40% of the project's total cost. Success stories on converting agricultural and industrial waste into 
money were documented. The database for cutting-edge materials joining the construction sector will be 
improved by this evaluated work.
